The Art of Storing Wine Properly
Those wines by the glass you serve bar side often come from bottles that were initially sealed with a cork. If you store these bottles by simply shoving the cork back in them, they often times aren’t fully sealed. When that happens, the wine begins to oxidize and lose its flavor. This process of oxidation is magnified when storing wines in a refrigerator over night. So to protect the flavor of any unused bottles of wine I recommend instead you use a vacuum pump bottle sealer. They can be found in grocery stores, liquor stores, and even some gas stations. Some of them can even preserve the wine’s flavor for up to a week! Here’s one that looks pretty snazzy from Amazon. Now store and pour to your heart’s content.
