A Promising Lead

June 15, 2016

Anthony,

A location has popped up unexpectedly.  My landlady, Ms. Stevenson, and I were talking about how difficult the real estate game was down here, when she mentioned a shuttered gift shop below my apartment.  I went downstairs to take a look with her and it sits right off the side street of the boarding house.  It’s close to a couple of tourist traps and easily within walking distance from the night life of River Street!  I still need to run the numbers on the area and evaluate any other competition, neighborhood demographics, their spending habits, etc.  But a place just across the street called the Pirate’s House does brisk business and is a landmark here in town.  She doesn’t think getting licensed would be a problem as the Pirate’s House has a bar attached to its restaurant.  Ms. Stevenson seems up for having a bar as a tenant and what all comes with it.  I think she’s just really desperate and would love to have another source of income from the property.  If this ends up working out…talk about dumb luck.  Anyway, I’ll run the numbers and send them to you.

Talk soon,

Patrick
