How to Make a Gimlet Cocktail

A classic cocktail that is easy to make and is suitable for the warmer weather.  I give you the Gimlet cocktail.  Though some will ask it be made with vodka, it is a gin based drink.  No worries just swap out the gin for vodka.  But if someone orders it be made without Rose’s lime juice be sure to politely notify them they are not ordering a Gimlet.  When you trade the concentrated sweetness of Rose’s lime juice for say fresh squeezed limes and sugar, you are now creating a Gin Rickey.  With that caution out of the way the Gimlet is an easy cocktail to build and get out across the bar.  Here it is.

Grab a martini glass and fill with ice.  Set aside.

In an ice-filled cocktail shaker combine:

1.5 ounces of Gin

½ oz. of Rose’s Lime Juice

Shake ingredients vigorously for 10-12 seconds.

Strain contents from cocktail shaker into an ice-filled rocks glass  or into a chilled martini glass.  Garnish with a wedge of lime.

Now refresh your guests with this classic refreshing cocktail.
